Houston-based Sun & Ski Sports / Southern Elite is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation with a serious long term commitment to maintaining a youth cycling race team. The purpose of the team is to provide financial, mentoring and coaching support to deserving young athletes in the development oftheir racing careers and in pursuit of the Olympic dream. Each year athletes who meet pre-established qualifying time standards will receive financial support for a trip to the U.S. National and/or World Championships.

The 2012 team currently includes 15 Junior (10-18) and Espoir (19-22) cyclists from the Houston area along with high-level cycling mentors who will be helping the young cyclists to achieve their goals. Returning from last year is our 25 member Masters Team.
